NDIS Disability Support Scheme

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government funded scheme introduced in 2013 that provides funding and supports to eligible people with permanent and significant disabilities between the ages of 7 and 65 to receive specialised care and support.

The scheme is overseen by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to guarantee a person-centered approach. All NDIS participants are given a plan according to their goals and needs. The scheme funds support services across many areas including accommodation, community access, personal care, domestic tasks, allied health, employment and more.
